# Terminology

This section serves as a reference sheet to all concepts and terms used throughout the project. It explains in a textual way how to think of a given term and how that term optionally relates to other terms and concepts.

The following headings should be read as “Term name [example 1, example 2]”.


# Human Cloud Network

The term is used to refer to the entire network and covers all aspects of its data and services including services rendered by supporting services such as AI and data management services but not included interfaces into the network.

# Upskilling

Upskilling provides skills to grow in one’s current career.

# Reskilling

Reskilling involves training for an entirely new job.

# Skilling space

a shared expression for the re-/ and up-skilling space in combination.

# Workplace training provider

a provider within the skilling space who provide tailered services to workplaces.

# MOOC provider

Massive Open Online Course providers has mostly directed their courses towards individuals.

# Talent developer

a shared expression for mentors, coaches, instructors etc.

# Skills

abilities needed to perform a job

# Durable Skills

include abilities in such areas as leadership, written and verbal communications, and critical thinking, that can serve a person well in any position.

# Perisable Skills

are more job-specific: say, mastery of a particular analytics tool, programming language or sales platform.

# Human Capital

Human capital is the stock of habits, knowledge, social and personality attributes embodied in the ability to perform labour so as to produce economic value. Human capital is unique and differs from any other capital. It is needed for companies to achieve goals, develop and remain innovative.

# Socio-economic

Used to describe the differences between groups of people relating to their social class and financial situation.
